Join us for a tour of the only brewery in Canada purpose-built for spontaneous fermentation at production scale. Blind Enthusiasm's brewery at The Monolith was designed from the ground up to create complex beers via barrel fermentation.

During your tour you'll visit our barrel rooms, the coolship, and taste beers in our taproom. The entire experience lasts a little under two hours and includes a one hour tour and tasting of three different beers produced right here in our barrel rooms.

Stop 1

The Taproom

You'll arrive at the building we affectionately call "The Monolith" and meet your guide in the taproom. They'll do a bit of a preamble about what you're going to experience, give you some fancy booties to wear in the brewery, and then the tour will begin!

STOP 2

The Brewhouse

As you enter the production space you'll walk by our bottling machine and stop at the brewhouse. Your guide will tell you about our unique brewing process and the difference between how we undertake our spontaneous and mixed fermentation brews.

STOP 3

Barrel Rooms

Your guide will take you into one of our barrel rooms and talk about where we get our barrels, how we use them, and their importance in our production. No touching! But you more than welcome to go deep trying to decipher the strange symbols we put on the barrels.

STOP 4

Learn About Our Ingredients

On the second floor of the brewery you'll see where we age our hops and store our grain used for brewing. Your guide will talk about our relationship with local partners that exclusively supply our grain.

STOP 5

The Laboratory

Our brewing laboratory is quite different than typically seen in the brewing business and your guide will discuss the scientific method and application of technology used to create our beers.

STOP 6

The Coolship

If you time it right you'll have a chance to see the coolship filled with hot wort waiting to be converted into beer. This is a very unique piece of equipment (one of a handful in Canada) and your guide will discuss the ins and outs of how we use it.

Stop 7

The Cellar

The cellars inside The Monolith hold a library of many of the beers that we've made, along with a number of in-production beers. Your guide will explain how we condition and finish our beers before releasing them to the public.

FINAL STOP

Guided Tasting

The tour ends in either the Monolith taproom or our newly designed tasting lounge on the third floor of the building. Here you'll enjoy three 100ml samples of beer in a tasting hosted by your guide. After this you're welcome to linger to try more beers! Everyone who takes a tour gets 10% off merch and bottles to go!
