Concours International de Lyon is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, judging products from 49 countries. Held annually in Lyon, France, expert judges evaluate various beer styles on taste, aroma, and quality, with golds only being issued to the finest beers in the world.

Spontaneous Manifesto 2023

Spontaneous Manifesto is the Monolith’s quintessential 100% Spontaneous Fermentation beer. Made using historical methods developed in Belgium over generations, the result of these techniques is a unique product shaped by our local environment and indigenous microflora.

This 2023 vintage is the second iteration of Spontaneous Manifesto, scoring 93 at this year's competition. The 2022 vintage also won Bronze at the 2024 World Beer Cup!

Substantially Complete 2023

Substantially Complete is our flagship Mixed Fermentation blend. Substantially Complete 2023 is a Mixed Fermentation blend of 1, 2, 3 & 4 year red wine barrels, and reflects The Monolith both as a physical entity and the beer it produces. With a new vintage being released every few years, this beer is a snapshot in time of our mixed fermentation program.

The 2023 vintage is the third iteration of Substantially Complete, and also the third medal winner for this beer at the Concours International de Lyon, with 2019 and 2021 vintages also taking home gold!
