Collaborating with our pals from High Dough was a very special experience. We take both beer and pizza very seriously. Our creation, Těsto, is a crispy lager made from Czech malt and hops with a tropical twist from a hop named Southern Passion. Těsto’s gentle bitter bite and light biscuity malt are the perfect complement to High Dough’s amazing pizza.
Let’s Not Rush
This robust, barrel-aged lager is light gold in color with a slight haze. It has aromas of Red Delicious apple & tangerine with a slight mustiness. It has a bright, cider-like flavour with notes of gooseberry and canned pineapple. LNR has low bitterness, medium carbonation, full body, surprisingly low booziness and a semi-dry finish. We didn’t rush with this beer; it sat in port barrels for two years until we felt it hit its peak. Don’t rush when you drink it; it’s a sipper, not a crusher.
ZestyZee, a German-style wheat ale, is our most popular summer beer. It is unfiltered with traditional banana and spice notes, low bitterness, crisp effervescence, and a gently tart, thirst quenching finish. Super-dry and quaffable, this is the ultimate patio beer.
Extra Special Monk Lager
Extra Special Monk Lager is a lagerized version of one of our original ales. It is a pale, hoppy lager with tropical aromas and flavours, subtle malt backbone, low-medium bitterness, and a dry finish.
Mentis Oculi is the second release in the Dry Hop Series. This blend of one and a half year mixed-ferment barrels is a collision of two worlds. Old World Tettnang and New World Simcoe, two wildly different hops, blend delightfully to dry hop this beer. The result is honey floral, ripe papaya, and light menthol hop character balanced by a full, round texture and medium-light acidity. We hope you like it.
Union Bhoys Lager
Union Bhoys Lager was brewed in celebration of the soccer team in Brussels, Belgium: Union St-Gilloise. This lager was brewed with both wheat and barley, giving it a hazy yellow colour. It has floral and melon fruit aromatics, with clean malt, honey dew, and lychee flavours followed by a dry, lightly bitter finish.
This clean lager has a bright gold colour with a heavy floral aroma of honeysuckle. The low bitterness lends itself to a honey like flavour with a crisp finish. Rob’s best friend from Germany, Fabian, designed this beer and helped us install our brewhouse. You’re a legend brü.
Songe d’une Prairie Sauvage
This collaboration with our friends from Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel! is a turbid mashed lager, fermented in Spanish red wine barrels then conditioned with Brettanomyces for 8 months. This process results in floral, honey character, with over ripe fruit and light Brettanomyces notes. It picks up subtle wine fruitiness and tannin from the barrels and finishes with a delicate tart acidity.
Uncharted Citra Lager
This assertively bitter lager is straw coloured and lightly hazy. Aromas of grapefruit pith are accentuated by the lingering bitter finish while complemented by flavours of lemon zest and orange. The crisp, dry finish of this lager is sure to quench your thirst even on the hottest day
This collaboration between Strathcona Spirits Distillery and Blind Enthusiasm Brewing started with a Cognac puncheon shipped from France. After some clever bartering Strathcona Spirits ended up with the puncheon and Blind Enthusiasm got 5 freshly emptied Pinot Gin barrels in return. Things got kooky when we put our Uncharted Citra into the Pinot Gin barrels. The result is a delicious golden beer with a herbal and orange citrus attack followed by a balanced blast of gin. It finishes with lingering overripe fruit. We hope you like it.
Yen ’til Two
This special beer is named after a close friend of the brewery. It is a delicate, fruity ale with lemon zest and pineapple aromas with matching flavor, and a crisp, dry finish with a gentle kiss of bitterness.
Fruitful Pursuits: Plum
The Fruitful Pursuits Series is made in late summer when ripe fruit is in season and at peak quality. For 2019 Plum we used hundreds of kilograms of freshly harvested Damson and President Okanagan plums which stayed on this mixed-ferment blend for 2 months. The result is bright ruby-purple colour, very prominent plum character, and a medium-high acidity.
